WRCMF PRESENTS THE 1ST DISTRICT 26 REPUBLICAN CONGRESSIONAL DEBATE!
The event will be open to the public and moderated by broadcast news journalist Glenna Milberg.
The Women’s Republican Club of Miami, Federated (WRCMF), a political grassroots organization will host the First District 26 Republican Congressional Primary Debate in partnership with Republican Party of Miami Dade County (MiamiGOP) and Old Cutler Republican Women’s Club (OCRW).
The three Republican affiliated entities have united to present the first debate between the Republican Primary Candidates who have qualified to run for the 26th District Congressional seat against Democrat incumbent Joe Garcia, to be moderated by WLPG Local 10 reporter Glenna Milberg.
The WRMCF has confirmed the participation of: Miami Dade School Board Member Carlos Curbelo, Mayor Ed MacDougall, former Miami-Dade Commission Chairman Joe Martinez and constitutional attorney Lorenzo Palomeres Starbuck. Former Congressman David Rivera has been invited but remains unconfirmed. Each candidate will present their platform followed by questions from the audience and the moderator. Attendees will be given an opportunity to submit their written questions prior to the debate’s inception.
“Our club is thrilled to bring this debate to the community as a means to inform the voter about their choices in the upcoming primary,” comments Angela Vazquez, President of WRCMF. She adds, “The election of the Congressional Representative for District 26 is of critical importance at local as well as national levels — both the RNC and DNC are closely watching and preparing.”
Each candidate will present their platform followed by questions from the moderator. The audience will have the opportunity to submit questions in writing prior to the debate’s inception.
The event is free and open to the public. Light appetizers and refreshments will be provided by courtesy of Greater Miami Catering a/k/a Master Host (master-host.net). Parking is available in the FIU parking lot. Entry will not be permitted after 7:00 p.m.
