Miami Christian School delights in achievements of their alumni who have gone on to success in college and in their careers. Records compiled by a few of the most recent updates speak for the quality of education they received at MCS.

Alyssa Nieves (Class of 2010) graduated this Spring from the University of Florida with a major in Public Relations and a minor in Theatre. While enrolled at UF, she was involved in the UF Gator Run Advisory Committee, Public Relations Student Society of America, Golden Key International Society, Delta Epsilon Iota Honor Society, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, Cru at UF, and played in the UF Concert Band as a trombonist. She was also a Public Relations Intern at ToneRite, Inc., and a Freelance Photographer for “The Independent Florida Alligator Newspaper.”

Another earlier grad, Carlos Rivera (Class of 2003) plays in the BSN Puerto Rico Professional League on the Los Leones de Ponce Basketball Team. He just competed in the World Championship Game against fellow Miami Christian graduate, Guillermo Diaz, Class of 2004, who plays on the Arecibo Capitanes Team. Many alumni drop by to visit the MCS campus and, most recently, MCS Graduate and Minnesota Timberwolves player, J. J. Barea, enjoyed reconnecting with fellow graduates when visited the campus over the summer. He was in town as the invited guest speaker of the Miami Tropics Summer Camp.

In a few weeks, classes begin again for the new school year on Aug. 20. For information, visit www.miamichristianschool.org or call 305-221-7754 to set up a tour of the school.
