Hialeah Hospital recognized Orquidea Lopez as “2014 Employee of the Year” when recently honored at the hospital’s annual employee gala.
“The administrative team at Hialeah Hospital is proud to name Orquidea as Employee of the Year,” said Ben A. Rodriguez, CEO of Hialeah Hospital. “Her selfless actions are a great example of the compassionate service we all strive to offer patients at our hospital.”
For more than 15 years,Lopez has been a member of the hospital’s environmental services team, often assisting other departments with additional duties.
Described as a giving person by her coworkers and supervisors, Lopez “always goes above and beyond to help patients in need and make them feel at home during their hospital stay,” the hospital noted, adding “She often volunteers to help out at the hospital on her days off from work.”
Hialeah Hospital,located at 651 East 25 St.,Hialeah,is part ofTenet Healthcare’s Florida Region, serving the healthcare needs of Central to North Miami-Dade County since 1951.
