Humane Society of Greater Miami expands South Clinic in Cutler Bay

The Humane Society of Greater Miami has announced that it has expanded the facility at the South Clinic, located at 10700 SW 211 St. in Cutler Bay.

In addition to adding a second surgical suite for spay/neuter surgeries and a second exam room for preventive healthcare vaccines, the clinic went through a complete overhaul — including painting, remodeling and refurbishing of the floors.

“This will give us the ability to treat more animals and perform twice as many spay/neuter surgeries,” said Donna Tallon, executive director of the Humane Society of Greater Miami. “We continue to work hard to reduce the amount of homeless pets in our community. The only way to do this is through sterilizations; unfortunately we will not be able to adopt our way out of the problem.”

Throughout the month of September, customers can receive 10 percent off preventive healthcare vaccines and a free microchip with any spay or neuter surgery. Appointments are necessary only for spay or neuter surgeries; call 305-749- 1854.

The Humane Society of Greater Miami is dedicated to placing every dog and cat into a loving home, and to promoting responsible pet ownership and spay/neuter programs. More than 300 homeless dogs, cats, puppies and kittens are cared for every day in its shelter.
