Commission honors Public Works and Waste Management Dept.

The Miami-Dade County Commission presented a proclamation to Kathleen Woods-Richardson, director, and the employees of the Miami-Dade County Public Works and Waste Management Department to mark National Public Works Week during the June 5 commission meeting at the Stephen P. Clark Center, 111 NW First St. The department is responsible for Miami-Dade’s roadways and bridges, storm drainage, mosquito control, traffic signals and signs, canal maintenance, solid waste collection, disposal and recycling.
