Town’s Fall Movie Night in the Park returns on Oct. 5

The first movie is Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax.

The Town of Cutler Bay’s popular outdoor film event, Fall Movie Night in the Park, is back on Friday, Oct. 5, at Cutler Ridge Park.

The first movie of the new season is The Lorax, based on the book by Dr. Seuss, and the time for the event is 7 p.m. Admission is free, everyone is welcome and it’s an informal setting, so those planning to attend are invited to bring their lawn chairs or a blanket to spread on the ground picnic style.

Featuring the vocal talents of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, Taylor Swift, Rob Riggle, Jenny Slate and Betty White, the film has a message about environmentalism that seems a good fit for Cutler Bay’s “Green City” image.

Food and drinks will be sold throughout the night by the Perrine Baseball & Softball Association. Cutler Ridge Park is located at 10100 SW 200 St. in Cutler Bay. For more information, contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 305-238-4166.
