Steinway Concert set Dec. 12

The Coral Gables Museum and the Steinway Piano Gallery Miami are teaming up to present some of the best performers in South Florida in a series of performances to benefit the Coral Gables Museum’s “Purchase the Piano” Fund.

The museum presents the first performance in the Steinway Concert Series on Friday, Dec. 12, at the Coral Gables Museum featuring Anthony Coniglio, a 17-year-old virtuoso pianist. Coniglio was honored to perform his first solo concert at age 13, and in 2011 he was selected to be the final performer at the Chopin Foundation of the United States’ Young Pianists Concert.

In 2012, he was invited to perform in a private audition for Season 7 of the popular TV series America’s Got Talent playing in an “upside-down” position with his hands crisscrossed over his head.

He has won many other numerous music awards and state competitions, including winning “Grand Prize” and “Outstanding Accompanist” at the Music USA Festival State Competition at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

Coniglio will be playing a selection of holiday music on the Museum’s beautiful grand Steinway piano. To RSVP, call 305- 603-8067. Tickets are just $15, $5 for children. Refreshments will be served.
