Tree Cottage, Image Weddings & Events, and Dominique Boutique attracted top votes during this year’s Holiday Storefront Competition sponsored by the Downtown Coral Gables BID, Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce, City of Coral Gables and the Florida Retail Federation.
The Rose Tree Cottage, a gift shop on Miracle Mile for 19 years, had its holiday storefront decorated with hand-made trees and a sleigh that voters selected as one of the winners after more than 600 shoppers weighed in.
“Local store owners are the heart of our business community,” said Mayor Jim Cason. “Window displays help to put a unique face on their businesses. Together, they enhance the wonderful look and ambience that makes our city so special.”
Imagine Weddings & Events, the competition’s top vote getter, used creative lighting techniques to draw customers into the new store.
Another winner, Dominique Boutique, mounted a ravishing display that featured birds freed from broken cages alighting on the mannequins. Store owner Dominique Aristondo said she has been using creative displays to advertise her boutique since 1968.
The captivating window displays were beautifully decorated and added a special touch to the festive look of Downtown Coral Gables.
