Coral Gables Hospital has appointed Henry Capote to serve as the hospital’s new chief financial officer.
Capote has been the interim CFO since April and was the hospital’s controller for three years.
As CFO, Capote will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations for the 245-bed acute care hospital and its departments.
“We are proud to announce that Henry Capote has been promoted to chief financial officer of Coral Gables Hospital,” said Jeff Welch, CEO of Coral Gables Hospital. “With the experience he has gained as interim CFO, I am confident that he will play a key role in the hospital’s financial stability.”
As controller, Capote’s position required overseeing the hospital’s operating budget and revenues, assisting with the annual budget process and preparing the Medicare and Medicaid journal entries.
Capote earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Florida Gulf Coast University. He is fluent in both Spanish and English and has 15 years of accounting experience.
