Coral Gables Fire Rescue raising funds for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

During October Coral Gables Fire Rescue Department Firefighters are supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month by wearing commemorative pink T-shirts as part of their daily uniforms.

“Cancer and more specifically breast cancer has affected millions of Americans across the United States,” said Gables Fire Chief Marc Stolzenberg. “Unfortunately many of us have a friend or family member that has been affected and Coral Gables Fire Rescue is no exception.”

This marks the fifth year Coral Gables Fire Rescue has participated in the national campaign. To support this worthy cause, T-shirts can be purchased at Coral Gables Fire Station No. 1, 2801 Salzedo St. Proceeds from the sale will be used to make a donation to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
