Coral Gables Rotarians wined and dined for charity on Nov. 12 at Season’s 52 in Coral Gables. The dinner was the first in a series of fundraisers that will benefit the Coral Gables Rotary Foundation and four others local charities.

After a champagne reception, Season 52’s Chef Rolando Centenzio prepared a fourcourse dinner with wine parings for guests. The food, wine and intimate setting provided the perfect mix for a fun-filled evening with friends and new acquaintances.

Event chair Rodney Langer expressed his thanks to Chef Rolando and the restaurant’s managing partner, Gary Marcoe, as well as to his committee and Alberto Romeu of Alberto Romeu Photography.

Among the many enjoying the evening were Rotary Club president Walter Alvarez, Annette Alvarez, Greg and Nancy Martini, George and Rosa Maria Reeves, Yolanda Woodbridge, Cal Rosenbaum, Sally Baumgartner, Aaron and Leslie Glasser, Bill Beckham, Dick Bullman, Bill Quensenberry, Eddie Snow, Carmen Suarez, Debi Moore, Carol and Ron Rosenau, Mayra Dominguez, Terry Long, Guillermo and Marita Villar, Elizabeth Silverman, and Frank Sexton.

Half of the proceeds from the first dinner will benefit the GFWC Coral Gables Woman’s Club’s May Van Sickle Children’s Dental Clinic, a clinic that provided more than $230,000 in free dental care last year to children in need throughout Miami-Dade County. Other beneficiaries for future events will include Kristi House, The First Tee Miami and Shake-a-Leg Miami.

After a very successful first event, Langer now is looking for major sponsors for a package of three wine dinners to be held Feb. 26, Apr. 9 and June 4, at Angelique Euro Cafe, Crave, and the Colonnade Westin, respectively.
