The best way to celebrate the new year is to remember the one gone by.

The Junior League hosted a holiday party on Dec. 13 at its headquarters in Coral Gables, which was attended by more than 50 members and supporters.

The gathering was a chance for partygoers to enjoy each other’s company and celebrate the impact JLM had in the community in 2013. The organization supports many local groups including Camillus House, Miami Children’s Hospital, and Whispering Manes.

“The party was delightful,” said Leanne Tellam, president-elect. “We were blessed with gorgeous flowers from Fleur de Lis Designs.”

A miniature silent auction also took place to raise funds for JLM’s 2013 initiatives.

Since the 1920s, the Junior League of Miami has been committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteer.
