Woodystock scheduled Sept. 27 at Coconut Grove’s Peacock Park

City National Bank has announced that Woodystock is coming back to Coconut Grove for its second showing after the inaugural benefit show was such a hit. The benefit for the Woody Foundation takes place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 4 to 8, at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove.

Hitting the stage will be DJ Brett Beats Baliey, cutting-edge Chicagobased violinist Katarina Visnevska, Colombian reggae/Latin group Magical Beat, adored Miami locals Robby Hunter Band, Vancouver based indie soul band The Booms Booms, and headlining the show “South Florida reggae legends” Fourth Dimension who have toured the music circuit for 14 years.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Woody Foundation, which has a mission to improve the quality of life for people who have sustained spinal cord injuries. After last year’s generous donations from sponsors, the Woody Foundation created a project called the Woody Pack. This pack is filled will assistive devices that help people who have suffered from spinal cord injuries to become independent in their everyday lives. Woodystock is a local free grassroots event for all music and art lovers.

Supporting the Woody Foundation, through the Woodystock concert may be a wise business and economic investment for local companies. Over 2,000 people will be in attendance for the show ranging in age from 16 through 65. These patrons are mostly local to the Coconut Grove, Coral Gables and South Miami area.
