St. Timothy first in St. Brendan’s third annual Academic Olyympics

St. Brendan High School hosted its third annual Academic Olympics on Friday, Oct. 17. The opportunity for middle school students to test their scope of knowledge in one of 10 subject areas, provided close competition between the 13 participating schools.

This year’s 130-plus male and female student Olympians came from St. Brendan Elementary, St. Hugh, St. John Neumann, St. Kevin, St. Michael the Archangel, St. Theresa, St. Thomas the Apostle, Good Shepherd, Mother of Our Redeemer, St. Timothy, Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School, Sts. Peter and Paul, and Highpoint Academy

With excitement running high in the St. Brendan High School gym, more than 600 students, families and educators cheered each other on as the winners were announced. After individual subject medals were awarded, St. Timothy, St. Theresa and St. Kevin loudly and proudly took home the first, second and third place trophies, respectively.
