“The 10 Best Albums Of 2014 So Far”

This year Phish will celebrate New Year’s Eve at American Airlines Arena in Miami, FL. The show will be the first of a four-night stand that will run through Saturday, January 3. The festivities will mark the third time Phish has rung in the New Year at American Airlines Arena, following multi-night celebrations in 2003 and 2009. The Sun Sentinel hailed the 2009 New Year’s Eve show as “triumphant,” noting that Phish “showed off its versatility early — and all night, really…[fans] loved every second of the show; almost no one left the arena before the final note was played.”

Fans can purchase a four-day pass or tickets for individual nights. An online ticket request period is currently underway at http://tickets.phish.com/. Tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Saturday, October 4, at 10:00 AM ET. They can be purchased online at http://www.ticketmaster.com, charged by phone at 800-745-3000 or purchased at select Ticketmaster outlets. If tickets are still available, they can also be purchased at the venue box office beginning Monday, October 6, from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. For further details, visit http://phish.com.

Phish’s fall outing will take the band to the West coast, beginning with a pair of shows in the Pacific Northwest – October 17 at Matthew Knight Arena, marking the band’s first concert in Eugene, OR in 20 years, and October 18 at Seattle’s Key Arena. The group will play Los Angeles’ Forum on October 24 – Phish’s first show at the venue since Valentine’s Day 2003 – and three sold-out nights at Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco (October 27-29). The tour will conclude with Phish’s first-ever shows at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas – a sold-out, three-night stand that kicks off on Halloween. See below for itinerary.

The band’s new album, Fuego, debuted in the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 and was named by Rolling Stone readers as one of the “10 Best Albums of 2014 So Far.” Produced by Bob Ezrin (Pink Floyd, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel), it was praised by The New York Times’ Jon Pareles as “frisky.” The Associated Press agreed, noting, “It’s a fun, spirited, rocking record” while Entertainment Weekly said, “[Fuego] feels bigger, brighter…than anything else they’ve ever done.”
