Miami Music Project Children’s Orchestra To Perform For Over 2,000 Summer Camp Students

Performed entirely by children, Miami Music Project invites the community to join its Children’s Orchestra for its Summer Showcase on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday June 30th, July 1st and 2nd at The Manuel Artime Theatre at 2:00 p.m. Musicians from four chapters: Liberty City, Little Haiti, Little Havana, and Doral will present various repertoires at this family friendly concert.

Sponsored by the City of Miami Parks and Recreation Department, over 2,000 summer camp students across Miami-Dade County will have the opportunity to watch Miami Music Project Children’s Orchestra perform. For the past four weeks, students from Miami Music Project have joined the summer program to challenge themselves with intricate orchestral pieces.

The Miami Music Project ensemble is comprised of young musicians committed to social transformation through music. The El Sistema inspired program is designed as a tuition-free, high-quality musical training for young musicians while at the same time improving their social and academic skills.
