World of Beer (WOB) a thriving beer-centric tavern boasting an extensive collection of brews from around the globe, will expand into an additional Miami location in Midtown at 3252 NE 1st Avenue on May 6, 2013. This is World of Beer’s 41st location, and its 23rd location in Florida. WOB Midtown will boast over 500 bottles of beer and 50 rotating taps.
WOB Midtown is located in the burgeoning Midtown Miami District. This location will partner with local restaurants such as Bar Louie, Lime, Mercadito, The Daily Melt, Primo Pizza, Muscle Maker Grill, and Machiya. Food delivery from these restaurants is available to all patrons.
World of Beer Midtown Miami, with over 500 bottles and 50 rotating drafts of great craft beer, live entertainment and a educated, passionate staff, is a truly uncommon establishment where the experience is as essential as the product,” says Lisa Weatherston, VP of Marketing for RKE Franchising Group.
Weatherston is excited to be a part of this new Midtown location. She has been with World of Beer Franchising, Inc for three years, and looks forward to opening day, which will include raffle prizes with tickets available for $1.00. WOB Midtown will send all proceeds from the raffle to C.O.P.S., a charity that provides programs and services to the families of fallen law enforcement officers. The Rosco Martinez Band will be featured as the evenings’ live entertainment beginning at 8 pm.
World of Beer’s events include monthly brewery nights and spotlights, tap takeovers and beer-centric events celebrating American Craft Beer Week, Dogfish Head Shark Attack, WOBtoberfest and more.
Happy Hour will be held Monday through Friday from 3-7pm. Weekly promotions include, Monday: Service Industry Night with half off all drafts from open-close, Wednesday: WOB University Night with half off all drafts for faculty and students from open-close and Thursday: Ladies’ and Military Night with half off select drafts and wines from open-close.
The ‘WOB Culture’ is unlike any other. The specially trained staff has completed an extensive, two-week beer school, and are on-hand to guide customers through the World of Beer experience centered around a global menu of beverages, live music and televised sports.
WOB rewards its customers by offering a Loyalty Club Program that enables them to earn points on trying different brews. Customers earn one point for every different beer purchased at WOB, gaining them access, appreciation and rewards. The program is available to all patrons and is easily accessed on the World of Beer app for Apple and Android smart phones. The app, available for download to the public, makes it possible to track the loyalty program, find the location and information on your favorite beers, and view upcoming events. It’s the WOB Culture “in the palm of your hand.”
WOB was founded in Tampa, FL in 2007. They are now launching their 41st location in Midtown Miami, FL. Taverns are currently open in 13 states (FL, AL, VA, TX, WI, OH, IL, NC, GA, AZ, CO, SC and WA). Locations to soon follow are Gainesville, FL, Boston, MA and Katy, TX.
