‘What’s in a Name?’

Ever wonder how some of the communities around Aventura got their names? The mystery may never be solved – but one thing’s for sure – they’re all the perfect place to call “home!”

‘Nothing to Hide’: At Hidden Bay, the only thing residents may be hiding is their secrets to success!

‘Magically Marvelous’: At Mystic Pointe, even David Cooperfield would never want to make the ideal lifestyle “disappear!”

‘Internationally Known’: From Mediterranean Village and Porto Vita – to Flamenco, Ensenada and Bella Mare, Aventura condos are attracting many new international families who feel right at home living in a city where the condo names are just as culturally diverse as the residents!

‘Turn Up the Prestige’: One particular name is virtually synonymous with Aventura: Turnberry Towers, Turnberry on the Green, Turnberry Village, Turnberry Isle Resort, Turnberry Hotel Group, Turnberry International Realty, Turnberry Way…almost everywhere you turn, Turnberry Associates is associating “prestige” with Aventura!

‘Totally Not Confusing’: It’s a good thing there are so many of those green signs around Country Club Drive – otherwise, some people might wind up at a different building every time they come home to Del Prado, Del Vista, El Dorado, Villa Dorado, Bonavida, Bonavista, Bravura, Harbor Towers, Harborside, Hamptons South, Hamptons West, Biscayne Cove, Biscayne Lake Gardens, Parc Central, The Parc at Turnberry…you get The Point and Point East (only Mystic Pointe ends with an “e”).

‘Floating on Air’: With names like Portsview, Yacht Club, Admiral’s Port, Alaqua, Aventura Lakes and Mariner Village, no one ever needs to go on a cruise …After all, when life at home in Aventura is like a year-round vacation, who needs to take one?!

‘Famous Name’: According to Wikipedia, the City of Aventura’s name was derived from the Spanish word for adventure, and was christened “Aventura” after a savvy developer made this very astute prediction: “What an adventure this is going to be!”
