Marjorie Aloni, Community Relations Manager at Vi Aventura, was chosen to be one of thirty participants in the City of Aventura’s third class of the Citizen’s Academy. This Academy, presented in eight sessions over a one month period, is designed to provide a learning forum for citizens to become more familiar with City of Aventura government, improve communications between citizens and government, as well as foster citizen involvement.
The Academy is provided by the City Administration as a service to the community and is held in various city facilities. Each session is two to three hours in length. Sessions will have participants meeting with key government constitutional officials including, the City Manager, City Clerk, City Attorney, as well as with the city’s various department heads including Community Services, Community Development, Police, Finance and Information Technology.
On completion of the Academy, graduates will be recognized at a City Commission June meeting.
