Turnberry Isle Miami announces its collaboration with Miami-based exotic car rental company – Supercar Life to produce the area’s first Turnberry Miami Concours, a Pan American event. Slated to take place April 25-27, 2014, the international automobile event will feature the world’s finest post-war sports and exotic cars staged on the Forbes four-star resort’s championship Raymond Floyd-designed golf courses. A variety of events and experiences will take place throughout the weekend.
“We are excited to introduce Miami’s first-ever Concours d’Elegance at our legendary property,” said Paige Koerbel, Managing Director of Turnberry Isle Miami. “This prestigious, international event will attract car connoisseurs and aficionados from across the Americas with a common bond – a love for fine automobiles.”
Turnberry Isle Miami’s signature 18-hole Island Green, on the Soffer Course, will provide the backdrop for a premier collection of the most unique, specialty collector cars on showcase during Turnberry Miami Concours, a Pan American Event. The event is open to the public through general and VIP admission on Sunday, April 27 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. A panel of noted collectors and leading authorities will judge the automobiles, presenting honors to the finest selection in an awards ceremony taking place at the culmination of the weekend-long event.
Leading up to the inaugural Turnberry Miami Concours, a Pan American Event, collectors can participate in a kickoff golf tournament on the resort’s two championship courses on Friday, April 25, followed by a VIP Welcome Reception. On Saturday, April 26, guests are invited to a “Track Day” at the Palm Beach International Raceway before heading back to Turnberry Isle Miami for a Charity Gala and Car Auction in the resort’s elegant ballroom.
“When we decided to launch this event in Miami, we immediately thought of Turnberry Isle Miami. In addition to the property’s ability to cater to the large, discerning crowds we’re expecting – up to 10,000 people, the resort is exquisite and centrally located between two major airports and private hangars – making travel easy for car collectors,” said Jan Otto, President of Supercar Life. “Turnberry Miami Concours, a Pan American Event will showcase the world’s rarest collection of prized cars, while offering an unparalleled opportunity for brand promotion. We are currently in discussions with potential sponsors and partners.”
