Turnberry Hotel Group recently collected and donated over 200 backpacks filled with school supplies for South Florida children in need during its third annual Angels Everywhere Backpack Drive. The team exceeded last year’s contribution of 100 backpacks and also made a monetary donation.
“Being contributing members of our local communities, giving our time, support and service to inspire others and make a difference is one of our company’s core values,” said C. Scott Rohm, president of Turnberry Hotel Group.
In addition, the executive committee at the legendary Turnberry Isle Miami resort traded in their suits and chef jackets for casual attire in order to wash employee cars to raise money for Feeding South Florida, a nonprofit organization working to end hunger in the community. During this charity effort, the Turnberry Isle team raised over $300, which was then matched by the hotel.
