Three cheers for bagels, burgers…and beers

Finally Aventura has a choice! The new “BagelWorks” is making a triple play to win over the Aventura crowd…Freshly baked bagels – the best tuna in South Florida – and a fabulous catering choice! Following the success of the renowned “BagelWorks” in Boca, owners Paul Herman and Robert Levy are spicing up Aventura’s breakfast and lunch scene with variety, a hip, relaxed atmosphere and great service. From bagels made from scratch daily – to prime beef sliders, burgers and huge chopped salads – if you wanted to try something deliciously different everyday that will work at “BagelWorks.”

Works for Breakfast: Beyond the best bagels and deli favorites, “BagelWorks” breakfast wraps really live up to the motto “Best Ingredients, Incredible Food.” Your choice of spinach, tomato, herb or whole wheat wraps can be filled with eggs, cheeses, vegetables, turkey, ham, bacon or sausage and they’re served with home fries, grits or oatmeal. Breakfast value specials are available until 11 a.m. daily; and favorites like omelets, Belgian waffles, pancakes, challah French toast, lox, eggs and onions or matzo brei are always served with endless refills of world famous “illy” coffee.

Works for Lunch: “Best tuna in Florida!” “Best macaroni and cheese you’ve ever tasted!” Word of mouth is quickly spreading about “BagelWorks” great lunch choices. Good old fashioned favorites like the reuben, grilled cheese, tuna melt on open faced challah and kosher franks with a home-made knish still rule, as well as Deli wraps. There are paninis made with turkey, maple glazed ham, hot pastrami or charbroiled chicken; sandwiches overstuffed with fresh deli meats, daily homemade soups, and special platters featuring whitefish, nova or lox, sable, fancy lake sturgeon and baked salmon.

Works for the Workout Crowd: Healthy options at “BagelWorks” are perfect for before or after workouts – but be forewarned, the chopped salads are so huge, you may need to build some upper body strength to lift the plate! Living up to Aventura’s “go green” philosophy, you can also choose from Caesar, Cobb, Greek and the “BagelWorks” special salad tossed with grilled chicken, goat cheese, dried cranberries and pine nuts. Other light delights include yogurt with fresh fruit, and a roasted garlic hummus platter served with vegetables and your choice of bagel, bialy or bagel chips.

Works for the Kids: Aventura parents especially appreciate “BagelWorks” menu for kids 12 and under with choices like scrambled eggs, French toast, silver dollar or chocolate chip pancakes, hot dogs, tuna or egg salad on bagels and pb&j with a small soda or milk from just $3.99.

Works for Delivery or Catering: You can get to-go service, free local delivery for catering or plan the perfect private party or business function with a special catering menu. But even if you’re dining in, you’ll find it hard to resist taking something home from display cases filled with “BagelWorks” specialties plus tempting sweets like pastries, made from scratch muffins and brownies and delicious baked on the premises ruggalach.

Now here’s something else to really give three cheers for: After 3 p.m. on weekdays, if you buy a dozen of the best “BagelWorks” bagels, you can get an additional half dozen for free!
