This March, the City of Aventura invites you to see Broadway stars, start your St. Patrick’s Day

celebrations early and enjoy the best of foreign film at the Aventura Arts & Cultural Center.

Broadway stars bookend a month of great entertainment beginning Friday, March 7 at 8 p.m. when two-time Tony Award-winner Chita Rivera recreates signature moments from her legendary career singing selections from West Side Story, Sweet Charity, Chicago, Kiss of the Spider Woman and Bye, Bye, Birdie.

Tony Award-nominee Will Chase performs later in the month on Wednesday, March 19 at 8 p.m. in a concert featuring Broadway and popular music. One of Broadway’s most versatile leading men, he is also recognizable to television audiences from his current role as “Luke Wheeler” on ABC’s Nashville and from his portrayal of “Michael Swift” playing “Joe DiMaggio” in NBC’s SMASH.

Leading up to St. Patrick’s Day, audiences will enjoy a roller coaster ride of beautiful airs and exhilarating jigs, reels, strathspeys and hornpipes when fiery fiddler Richard Wood and featured vocalist and accompanist Gordon Belsher appear in Fire & Embers on Wednesday, March 12 at 8 p.m.

Claddagh: An Explosion of Celtic Dance and Music on Sunday, March 16 at 2 p.m. ignites the stage with the contemporary luster of shows such as Barrage and Stomp. This exquisite multi-media spectacular features exceptional artistry and an alluring fusion of classic and contemporary styles.

The Aventura Foreign Film Series continues with Scheherazade, Tell Me a Story on Tuesday, March 11 at 7 p.m. This sensitive story follows a young, married Egyptian couple whose happiness is threatened by the political pitfalls they face in their careers.
