Sherri Verret has 20 years of property management experience and has been a successful Regional Manager at Atlantic|Pacific Management for the last four years. She currently oversees eight high profile properties with approximately 4,000 units including One Island Place in Aventura, The Beach Club in Hallandale and Residences in Hollywood.
With a strong sense of team, developing camaraderie and loyalty, recognition for goals achieved and jobs well done celebrated at monthly staff meetings- the biggest result of her focus on strong leadership and mentoring is low staff turnover.
By communicating constantly and always being available for issues at hand, Sherrie obtains good relationships with the board of directors at her properties. By helping to save the properties money by assessing and appropriately streamlining productivity, her most recent success story is a collection of delinquent association maintenance fees, which she said is due to the diligence of property staff communicating with unit owners before forwarding accounts to the collection attorney.
Safety is also a serious business, and Sherri believes that preventative maintenance is the strongest component of ensuring it. Her team routinely checks vacant units for leaks and other issues to protect the buildings. She then reviews the required monthly inspections by the managers and jointly completes one every four months, which is part of the preventative maintenance plan. This reporting schedule provides a preventative maintenance structure to ensure the maximum life of equipment.
Sherrie hires employees with special skills and well rounded maintenance experience, furthermore Atlantic|Pacific promotes training. When outside vendors are needed, A|P has a preferred vendor list to choose from, and Sherrie is an expert at contract negotiations.
Spearheading a recent creation of an online concierge service, which Atlantic|Pacific Management is set to launch soon, the online website will provide property owners and seasonal renters with a plethora of information about where to eat, pet services, house cleaners, entertainment choices, etc. The online concierge directory will not only serve Atlantic|Pacific properties, but will be open and free to the public, and could become a valuable tool for the front desk of every hotel and condominium in Aventura and surrounding areas.
