Robert Stok: The attorney who ‘takes Stok’ in you

Robert Stok, founder of
Stok Folk & Kon, P.A.

Q: Does Stok Folk & Kon take every case “personally”?

RS: Our firm is dedicated to providing experienced representation with a highly personalized approach. We offer the legal services you’d expect from a larger firm within the friendly, welcoming environment of our Aventura-based office. Many of our clients include families who have been with us for generations because they feel comfortable and confident knowing that my partner Joshua R. Kon and I, along with our entire team of dedicated attorneys, have a vested interest in perpetuating their success.

Q: Is the firm as diverse as its clients?

RS: Our focus areas include corporate and commercial law, family law, real estate transactions, immigration issues, as well as personal injury and medical malpractice claims handled on a contingency basis. We represent businesses, individuals, real estate developers, architects, engineers, financial service corporations, entrepreneurs, inventors, technology service providers and multibillion dollar corporations located in Florida and throughout the nation.

Q: Does it make good “business sense” to retain Stok Folk & Kon?

RS: Our attorneys combine real-world experience in business ventures and commercial litigation cases to draft and negotiate contracts reflecting forward-thinking, proactive strategies that can protect intellectual property and prevent disputes. We also provide corporate counsel services, help resolve collection and bankruptcy cases, and have drafted many pre-and-post nuptial agreements protecting the assets of clients involved in divorce proceedings.

Q: Does the firm have fullservice appeal?

RS: We have the ability to take a case from inception, to trial, to appeals and post-judgment action. Our appellate practice is known for success and several reported decisions, including one involving a banking institution that went all the way to the Supreme Court, setting a positive precedent for the arbitration of disputes.

Q: Is Aventura going global?

Aventura is home to people from all over the world – many of whom are in need of legal assistance with international business transactions, obtaining visas or green cards. There are always new opportunities to represent clients who appreciate our firm’s sophisticated legal skills and that multi-lingual attorneys are conveniently accessible, close to home in the “City of Excellence.”

Q: What are your #1 rules of law?

RS: Our priorities include providing comprehensive legal services serving diverse needs; and giving back with pro bono endeavors that support the community at-large. After practicing in Aventura for over two decades, I’m proud of the enduring personal and professional relationships we’ve developed. We try to exceed expectations in every possible way, and look forward to continuing to “take Stok” in our clients for many more years to come.
