O’Connell & Goldberg (O&G) public relations has named Courtney Heffernan Mimmo O&G’s social media director. Mimmo will oversee digital media efforts for the agency and its clients as well as guide enhancements to the firm’s social media branding strategies.
A marketing manager with extensive regional and national client experience, Mimmo previously served as digital client manager for Zimmerman Advertising in Fort Lauderdale, where she led successful strategy, social platform performance, blog content, and web/media unit analytics initiatives for such clients as Atlantis, Paradise Island; Friendly’s; QVC; and White Castle. She also was creative services coordinator for WSVN-TV News in Miami and project manager at Henninger Media Services in Arlington, Va.

Mimmo earned her bachelor’s degree in media studies from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. An advocate of community- based causes that benefit others, she participates in the annual Dan Marino Foundation walk at Sun Life Stadium to support its autism awareness efforts and is a member of the CDC Builders team in the annual Walk MS.
