Mount Sinai Medical Center is pleased to announce that Juan-Carlos Brenes, cardiologist and co-director of the hospital’s noninvasive echocardiography laboratory, is now seeing patients at the Mount Sinai physician offices in Aventura.
Dr. Brenes joins the Mount Sinai Aventura multi-specialty group where patients can access quality care in a variety of areas such as cardiology, endocrinology, neurology & neurosurgery, gastroenterology, obstetrics & gynecology, internal medicine, pain management, surgical oncology and urology. In addition to physician offices, Mount Sinai Aventura also provides the region’s only freestanding emergency, a cancer center, diagnostic imaging services and a full-service lab.
Dr. Brenes attended the University of Miami where he studied internal medicine as part of the Harrington Medical Training Program and completed his cardiology fellowship. He later completed his advanced echocardiography fellowship at Columbia University Medical Center in New York, which is affiliated with the Mount Sinai Heart Institute. Dr. Brenes is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology and echocardiography. Dr. Brenes specializes in preventive cardiology, valvular heart disease and 3-D echocardiography.
The Mount Sinai Aventura Physician Offices is located at 2845 Aventura Boulevard (N.E. 199th Street), directly above the Mount Sinai Aventura Emergency Room. The Mount Sinai Aventura multi-specialty group is located in Suite 250.
