At the February 5th Aventura City Commission meeting, Marjorie Aloni, Community Relations Manager at ViAventura, was appointed to the City of Aventura Community Services Advisory Board.
The seven member Community Services Advisory Board is appointed by Mayor Susan Gottlieb and approved by the City Commissioners. Board members serve a term of one year.
Among other things, the Board advises the City Manager and City Commissioners on matters relating to stimulating greater public awareness and participation in senior citizen programs, culture and the arts activities. In addition, the board advises on landscape design, beautification projects, youth programs and recreation activities.
Ms. Aloni has over 15 years of experience in senior programming and over 5 years experience in cultural arts programming. She has been serving as Community Relations Manager at Vi Aventura, a luxury continuing care retirement community, for the past four years.
In her spare time Ms. Aloni volunteers atAventura Hospital where she visits patients and serves as an Ambassador for the hospital. In another volunteer capacity, Ms. Aloni is serving as Programming Chair for the North Dade chapter of Hadassah.
