Major Washa elected Treasurer for Miami-Dade County Association of Chiefs of Police

Major Skip Washa of the Aventura Police Department was recently elected Treasurer for Miami-Dade Association of Chiefs of Police. The Dade Chief’s executive board consists of four members who advance to new positions each year, which will lead Major Washa as the Associations President in 2017. With the Aventura Police Departments achieving excellence, Major Washa will be the third officer to serve on the executive board, preceding Chief Thomas Ribel and Chief Steven Steinberg. “To have three people elected to the board from a municipal agency of our size is extremely rare, and speaks volumes to the caliber of personnel we have in this Agency,” said Major Washa.

Congratulations to the City of Excellence!
