Horses of a Different Color

Horses of a Different ColorGulfstream Park Racing & Casino is excited to announce Horses of a Different Color, a unique, public art event planned throughout Gulfstream Park and The Village at Gulfstream Park from Dec. 1 through March 29.

Two dozen life-sized fiberglass horses will be transformed through the creativity of national and local artists during the summer and fall months and then displayed throughout Gulfstream’s streetscapes, gardens and shops during the Champions Meet. The horses will be part of several events, including a Horses of a Different Color Opening Night

Reception and Wine Walk, the Eclipse Awards pre-party and Florida Derby Party. Horses will be auctioned off on each of these occasions over the course of the racing year, in an online auction on www.Biddingforgood.com.

Proceeds will go to several different charities, including the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance. Sponsorship for the horses are available at two different levels.

At the $2,500 level, you or your company will receive: Recognition with a sponsorship plaque at the bottom of the Horse of a Different Color; the choice of Thoroughbred charity that will receive the proceeds from the auction; your name on all media surrounding Horses of a Different Color and a link to your website.

At the $5,000 level, you or your company will receive: Recognition with a sponsorship plaque at the bottom of the Horse of a Different Color; Your choice of artist to design your Horse of a Different Color; The choice of Thoroughbred charity that will receive the proceeds from the auction; your name on all media surrounding Horses of a Different Color.

Gulfstream will offer artists a place to work at The Village at Gulfstream Park, where guests can watch the Horses of a Different Color take place.
