The City ofAventura announces the following trips for the Spring 2013 season: Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and dinner at Villagio Restaurant in Coral Gables on Thursday, April 11;War Horse at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts (matinee performance) on Wednesday, May 15 and the Festival Flea Market (lunch on your own) on Wednesday, June 5. COMMUNITY RECREATION CENTER’S 10TH YEAR ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The City of Aventura will be celebrating the Community Recreation Center’s 10th Anniversary with an Open House on Saturday, March 9 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Community Recreation Center, located at 3375 NE 188 Street. The event is free and open to the public.
Everyone from toddlers to adults will enjoy class demonstrations, a DJ/MC, games, activities, health screening, raffle giveaways, prizes and more. As part of the celebration, the City is offering a membership promotion to new and existing members who attend this event. For every one year membership purchased at the Open House, you will receive another year complimentary. This promotion is only valid to those who attend the Open House.

AVENTURA PRESENTS SPRING CAMP 2013
Get ready to roll out the red carpet and explore the action and glamour of Hollywood movies. Campers will learn the ins and outs of movie making from the pros at Directors Cut with all campers bringing home a DVD that they produced.
Campers will complete the week by competing in game shows, scavenger hunts and a minute to win it challenge. Field trip includes trip Intracoastal 8 Movie Theater and Miami Shores Pool. Open to children ages 5-14 years and runs fromMonday, March 25 until Friday, March 29.
