This summer, turn off the video games and send juniors to the elite Cañas Tennis Summer Camp at the Turnberry Isle Yacht Club Tennis Center for a sporty experience of a lifetime. Cañas Tennis, which is based at the legendary 300-acre Turnberry Isle Miami resort, is providing children and teens ages 4-8 and 8-18 with an exciting opportunity to meet new friends and stay in shape through fun tennis programs facilitated by top ranked players.
During the daily and weekly programs, campers will learn proper golf and tennis techniques, mental toughness, game etiquette and strategy. Morning activities including fitness, drills and techniques, followed by a lunch break and then an afternoon of match play and swimming. Instructors are full-time USPTA, PTR certified professionals.
The program is part of Turnberry Isle’s exclusive alliance with the renowned Cañas Tennis, co-founded by Guillermo Cañas, one of the most recognizable Argentinian tennis figures in the world. Cañas has seven ATP singles championships under his belt, including wins over Roger Federer, Yevgeny Kafelnikov, Marat Safin, Tommy Haas and Andy Roddick.
Cañas Tennis Summer Camp is available June 10-August 16, Monday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost to participate is $395 for one weekly session and $120 daily, which includes lunch. Other options and discounts for players that register for multiple weeks and with siblings are available.
