This holiday season, more than one million sparkling lights adorn the exterior of Aventura Mall, providing a spectacular showcase at Miami’s premier fashion destination, including more than 10,000 strings of white lights, over 2,500 animated snowfall tubes and 275 snowflakes.
The new, must-see attraction required more than 3,700 man hours to complete and includes over 65 miles of lights.
Inside, Aventura Mall shoppers will take a trip to the North Pole at Santa’s Village – a five-tier, 52-foot tall display highlighted by Santa, Mrs. Claus and their elves, along with an elaborate holiday tree and an animated show that includes lights, music and special holiday characters.Kids can visit Santa and share their holiday wishes at Santa’s Village, located at Fountain Court – it’s the perfect backdrop for family photo packages.
Kids and grown-ups also enjoy “Aventura’s Model Train Station,” a 16 by 29-foot display that features electric trains whistling and smoking their way through a village, amusement park, old time mill and snowcapped mountain ranges. The model train station is located in JCPenney Court and open mall hours. Santa’s Village is open Mondays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Sundays from noon – 8 p.m. Special hours include Tuesday, Dec. 24, from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Children receive a complimentary book provided by the Miami Dade Family Learning Partnership, Inc., an Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts holiday coloring book, and a special treat from Bauducco (one per child, while supplies last).
