Aventura Hospital and Medical Center is proud to announce the appointment of four new leaders to its key management: Assistant Chief Nursing Officer Jesse Gabuat, Vice President of Quality Susan McKinley, Assistant Vice President of Operations Daniel Boston and Controller Tony Gomez.

Assistant Chief Nursing Officer Jesse Gabuat joins Aventura Hospital having previously served as Assistant Vice President of Acute Care Nursing and as Director of the Orthopedic and Spine Institute at St. Lucie Medical Center in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Jesse brings more than twenty years of experience as a nurse, with diverse roles from critical care to orthopedics and surgery. He received a Master of Science in Nursing from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Colegio de San Agustin in the Philippines.
Vice President of Quality Susan McKinley joins Aventura Hospital from the University Health System of San Antonio, Texas where she served as its Director of Quality Risk Management for seven years. Having served as a healthcare administrator for more than a decade coupled with a rich background in nursing, Susan is an expert in quality measures and national patient safety goals. She earned her Master of Management and her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing and Education from Massey University in New Zealand. She is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management and a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality.
Prior to joining Aventura Hospital, Assistant Vice President of Operations Daniel Boston served as the Field Clinical Sales Representative of Boston Scientific Cardiac Rhythm Management in Clearwater, Florida.
A former United State Navy Lieutenant, Dan served our country as a Combat Search and Rescue and Antisubmarine Helicopter Pilot. He received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Florida in Gainesville and his Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy Studies from Duke University in Durham, North Carolina.
Tony Gomez joins Aventura Hospital having served as the Executive Director of Finance at the University of Miami Hospital. In his new role as Controller, Tony will assist the Chief Financial Officer on all matter regarding finances of the facility.
He received his Master of Business Administration and his Bachelor of Health Services Administration from Florida International University.
