Securing the future of grandchildren is an important part of estate planning, something no one should put off. Vi Aventura is presenting a program on ways to make sure that no matter what, the kids are alright.
The event, called “Planning for Your Grandchildren’s Future,” will take place from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14th in the Everglades Room at Vi Aventura, 19333 West Country Club Drive, and is open to the public.
“During the lecture,” says Vi’s Community Relations Manager Marjorie Aloni, “Attorney Eric S. Kane will outline various techniques that grandparents can utilize and incorporate into their estate plan when planning for their grandchildren. In particular, he will provide a brief overview of annual exclusion gifting strategies, the use of single beneficiary trusts, charitable split interest trusts, and other planning ideas.”
A member of the Florida Bar, Kane concentrates his practice in the areas of estate planning, probate, trust and guardianship administration. His article “What Every Estate Planning Attorney Should Know About Florida Homestead Law” appeared in the October 2009 edition of Wealth Counsel’s Quarterly, a national estate planning publication.
The event is part of an ongoing series of lectures and entertainment at Vi Aventura, a continuing life-care community offering luxury independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.
Residents recently enjoyed an electrifying evening with Thomas Edison, as portrayed by actor Frank Attwood, who took his audience on a fascinating journey, from struggling in school to igniting a technological revolution, Aloni says.
Coming up on the evening of December 23rd, she says, is a special performance by renowned pianist Don Irwing.
Due to space restrictions, reservations are required for Eric Kane’s lecture. RSVP to Marjorie Aloni 305-692-4829. For more information about Vi Aventura, visit on line at viliving/aventura or call 305-692-4829.
