Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach welcomes Executive Chef Dewey LoSassoThe food and beverage program at Acqualina Resort & Spa in Sunny Isles Beach is being spiced up in 2014 as award winning executive chef Dewey LoSasso signs on to oversee and re-conceptualize the program at the five star resort.

LoSasso leaves his old post as executive chef at the Miami Beach landmark restaurant The Forge, where he helped to rebrand the classic eatery. At Acqualina he plans to bring his success to the beachfront location and tickle the taste buds of food loving tourists and locals.
“During my tenure at The Forge, we revamped the menu and reinvigorated our loyal clientele,” says LoSasso, who was named Miami New Times Best Chef in 2010 and brings more than three decades of experience to the job. “I look forward to this new opportunity at Acqualina Resort & Spa and know that our continued success in the food and beverage department is inevitable.”

Chef LoSasso has been a driving force on the South Florida culinary scene. At Acqualina, Chef LoSasso will oversee all food and beverage operations including banquet and event menus, offerings at Piazzetta Marketplace and Restaurant, Costa Grill, as well as creating delectable lite fare dishes for the prestigious Acqualina Spa by ESPA.

“We are excited to welcome a chef of LoSasso’s caliber to the Acqualina Resort & Spa team,” says Deborah Yager Fleming, Vice Chairman and Principal of Acqualina Resort & Spa. “With its unique dining establishments, Acqualina has become a destination retreat for foodie travelers from around the country. His expertise will undoubtedly fit perfectly at the resort as we continue to redefine the luxury dining experience.”
