Over 400 children and adults were provided with free dental care services in last year’s “Dentistry From Our Hearts” program at The Dental Care Group/Aventura Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics in Aventura, and the outstanding dentists, hygienists and entire clinical and administrative teams are set to do it again on Sunday, Feb. 24th, from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m. The Dental Care Group is located at 2797 NE 207th Street,Aventura 33180, and patients are encouraged to arrive early and be patient!
In 2012, the professionals from The Dental Care Group/Aventura Pediatric Dentistry donated over $150,000 in free dental services to children and adults who weren’t fortunate enough to have routine dental care. It was a ‘firstcome- first-served” basis and patients started lining up at 7 a.m. that morning and the lines didn’t end until the evening. “While Dr. Glicksman and I finished the day exhausted, we were also energized. We saw neighbors helping neighbors, our entire staff volunteered their day off, our patients and business partners generously gave to make this event happen and that quiet “thank you” from a twelve year old who visited the dentist for the first time just pierced my heart. It is so good to work hard on something that helps make a difference,” said Dr. Rick Mars.
This year, the “Dentistry from Our Hearts” team is looking forward to helping even more people in the community. This is a huge community effort, and sponsors are being sought to help provide such things as portable bathrooms, tents and chairs for patients.
