The Aventura Arts & Cultural Center recently rolled out the red carpet for hundreds of Aventura Marketing Council members invited to a “Sizzling 2012-13 Season Preview” event, featuring a rave review Tast of Aventura courtesy of Sicilian Oven, Morton’s The Steakhouse, Mr. Chef’s Fine Chinese Cuisine & Bar, Mo’s Bagels, Costco North Miami Beach, Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza and Green House Organic Food Restaurant. The 3rd annual AT&T YOUNG STARS SHOWCASE presented by Northwestern Mutual / Laser Financial Group singing sensations also playing a starring role were Cameron Wheeler and Donna Alima. Claudio Stivelman of Shefaor Development, understudying for AMC Chair Cliff Schulman of Weiss, Serota, Helfman, welcomed guests to the magnificent venue as the curtain went up on one of the AMC’s most entertaining meetings

Taking center stage, Steve Clark, Aventura Arts and Cultural Center General Manager, proclaimed the AACC’s third season will be even more diversified and “the best yet.” He also highlighted stellar opportunities for business building and a myriad of ways to achieve business objectives, charitable contribution goals and enrich lives. An ideal venue for advancing business goals, the AACC frequently hosts professional teams for nights out at the theater as an incentive; rents space for events; and helps showcase companies sponsoring programs or holding fundraisers.

The Arts & Cultural Centers season three kicks off with an abundance of entertainment offerings that make this the season to see. All new this year is the Cabaret by the Bay series, which features four women, amazing divas with killer voices and incredible range, presented in an intimate cabaret setting. Chart-topping singer and American Idol season two finalist Kimberley Locke launches the series, which also includes TV personality Lindsey Alley singing the Disney Songbook, Carla Bordonada featuring the best loved Latininspired Broadway hits and TV icon, Sally Struthers.

The popular Foreign Film Series has been expanded to run from November through April, with each film moderated by film expert Shelly Isaacs. Comedy is still king in Aventura, with a rich array of shows that include Forbidden Broadway, Capitol Steps, Sister Robert Anne’s Cabaret Class and two nights of laugh out loud stand-up comedy from the hilarious Marion Grodin and Gemini. Tickets and gift certificates truly make a great gift during the upcoming holiday season, and save the date for special Cyber Monday specials, available only on Monday, November 26.

One of the most anticipated events will be the 3rd annual AT&T YOUNG STARS SHOWCASE presented by Northwestern Mutual/Laser Financial Group on Dec. 2, featuring sensational young singers. Proceeds benefit the AMC’s Education Foundation, supporting a wide range of educational initiatives for students.
