Audi adds sports model, diesel, convertible to 2015 A3 Lineup

2015 A3 has sleek design with Singleframe grille, bi-xenon headlights and LED taillights

The Audi A3 was one of the original entry level luxury cars, so it’s no surprise that Audi knows exactly what should go into an entry level luxury car. The 2015’s new engine makes for 170 hp and 200 LB of torque. Inside, the interior is minimalistic, but still beautiful.

The A3 has a sleek look and all trim levels have the Audi signature Single frame grille, bi-xenon headlights and LED tail light. New model additions to the line-up include a vari-ety of body styles and power trains to satisfy just about any consumer preference. Those new models are the sporty S3 Sedan, the A3Cabriolet and the A3 TDI Sedan.

S3 Sedan — A much more sporty vehicle with a unique and specific sport suspension. It’s powered by a head-snapping 292 hp 2.0-liter TFSI engine with quattro all-wheel drive. The S3 also has specific exterior details that mark it for high-performance and distinguish it from other A3s, including aluminum look to the grill and honeycomb inserts that fill the air inlets in the bumper, along with optional LED headlights. The S3also gets unique 18-inch or 19- inch wheels. On the inside, the S3 has distinctive instrument dials a leather-covered multifunction sport steering wheel, S3 badging and standard shift paddles.

A3 Cabriolet — Powered by either a 1.8TFWD or 2.0 Tquattro powertrain, the Cabriolet comes with a soft cloth top stretched over a lightweight mechanism made out of magnesium- steel. The electro-hydraulically operated top has a thick inner foam layer and a glass rear window and opens or closes with the press of a button in less than 18 seconds up to 31 mph. The Cabriolet also has an active rollover protection system.

A3 TDI Sedan — Powered by Audi’s fuel efficient clean diesel 2.0 TDI FWD engine that produces 150 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque. Audi has added multiple new innovative technologies and detailed craftsmanship to the A3 line, including such premium standard features as leather seating surfaces, a power panoramic roof, Bluetooth technology with audio streaming, SiriusXM Satellite Radio, HD radio, a power driver’s seat and a split folding rear seat back.

All A3 models offer many hi-tech options, including MMI technology, 4G LTE connectivity, full LED headlights and a Bang & Olufsen audio system. The new A3 family also has the most advanced version of Audi connect, including picture navigation, read aloud news headlines, Facebook and Twitter alerts, access to more than 7,000 Web radio stations and personalized RSS news feeds.

Another nice available option is the Audi Drive Select System that lets you adjust throttle response, shift points and the electro-mechanical steering effort. Similar to other Audi models, Audi DSS has four settings —Auto, Dynamic, Comfort and Individual.

The MSRPon the 2015 Audi A3 lineup ranges from $29,900.
