On August 28, 2012, I attended the Dedication Ceremony and Open House for Miami Dade Fire Rescue Station No. 16. The station replaces the existing fire station that was located on the site. The new station will increase service and efficiency and will lower response time.

On August 8, 2012, I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Rafael Castillo, a Paralympics Swimmer who will be part of the US Swim Team at the 2012 Paralympics Games in London.
