Already well-established in Coconut Grove and Doral, she believes South Miami is the perfect location for its community banking model.

Now settling into a new office space, outdoor building signs will soon to be in place with opening of a drive-through window slated for early 2013. “Convenience of a drive-up window will alleviate the need to park, something that many downtown banks do not offer,” said Dominquez.

Founded in 2005 as “the small bank with big plans,” Biscayne Bank provides technologically-advanced banking products usually offered only by larger banks. Providing highly-personalized service, the hallmark of small neighborhood banking, the South Miami branch provides an array of deposit, investment and loan services for customers requiring national and international banking transactions.

Biscayne Bank has a special focus on international buyers of American property, tailoring services for both Western Hemisphere and European customers. (Note: The Miami Herald reported that in 2011 that 31.3% of real estate purchases in Florida were made by foreign buyers, with Canada, Latin America and the Caribbean accounting for about 66% of all foreign purchases in South Florida). Dominquez with 30 years of community banking experience said the new South Miami branch will provide a knowledgeable team of local staff members who “know community banking and the local area.”

Believing in a “hand’s-on” approach, she said the goal of personalized banking extends to throughout each community in which Biscayne Bank is located. “Our other branches are involved in their respective communities and events, and we look forward to doing the same in the City of South Miami,” said Dominquez.

A state-chartered, full service commercial bank, Biscayne Bank is supervised and insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. Also in Coconut Grove and Doral, the South Miami branch is located in Plaza 57 Building at 7301 SW 57 Ct. For more information, tel. 305-740-5057.
